Prayer suggestions for the coming week ….

…… let us begin the week with praise and worship,

King of glory, Prince of Peace, Lord of heaven and earth,

we worship and adore you.

Son of righteousness, Jesus Christ the Lord,

we honour you and bow before you.

Son of David, King of kings! Hosanna in the highest!

Glory be to Jesus!

…. let us continue through the week to prepare ourselves for what lies ahead

Jesus prepared himself for the most difficult week of His life, to be willing to do what His Father asked of him.

Help us, Lord, to be willing to follow in your footsteps.

To trust You, to walk with You, to do what our Heavenly Father asks of us, knowing that when He calls us, He also equips us for the task ahead.

….let us pray for ministers and church leaders as they prepare for the events of this week.

We pray

· for protection for them and their families

· for an infilling of your Holy Spirit

· for wisdom, insight and understanding of your Word

· for a deeper joy and love in You that overflows to others

Lord Jesus, we marvel again at the extent of your love,

And especially the pain you were willing to endure so that we might be forgiven, and receive life in all its fullness.

We thank you and we exalt your name.
